Evidence Based Palliative Care- 8th Nov 2025
We had a remarkable day at the Second Jella Nandedkar Memorial Symposium on Evidence-Based Palliative Care, held today (November 8, 2025), organized by the Pain Relief and Palliative Care Society, Hyderabad, and the Indo-American Cancer Association.
The symposium brought together national and international experts who shared cutting-edge insights bridging research and real-world clinical practice in palliative medicine. From Dr. Naveen Salins’ session on managing chronic dyspnea in the community, to Dr. David Hui’s keynote on prognostication, and a vibrant panel on physician handoff and patient safety, each session demonstrated the power of evidence to transform care.
It was a privilege to present on “Artificial Intelligence in Palliative Care”, alongside distinguished colleagues who spoke on innovations in therapeutics and new frontiers such as advance medical directives and cannabinoid-based symptom control.
Grateful to the family of Jella Nandedkar for their support, Dr. Gayatri Palat, Dr. Suresh K. Reddy for their vision and leadership in creating this academic platform that continues to inspire scientific rigor, clinical reflection, and collaboration within the palliative care community. Here’s to advancing compassionate, evidence-based care—together.
