A one-day workshop on Introduction to Palliative Care was conducted on 4th November 2025 for student nurses from various nursing colleges across the city of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. In addition to the nursing students, the workshop was also attended by participants from Guntur Government Hospital, including three medical oncologists and six head nurses from different departments.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Swarup Immaraju, Nurse Trainer and Nursing Superintendent at the Pain Relief and Palliative Care Society (PRPCS), and State Instructor for Telangana Palliative Care Centres. His expertise added immense value to the workshop.

The training included interactive discussions, case-based learning, and open question sessions, encouraging active participation and practical understanding among attendees.

Certification for the participants was provided by the Director of Guntur Government Hospital and the In-charge Doctor of the Palliative Care Department, acknowledging their successful completion of the workshop.
